Affiliate Disclosure

As of 6 August 2026, DevTools Review earns nothing from any link on this site. We are not enrolled in an affiliate programme with a single tool we cover.

How This Works

We checked all eleven tools we track. Eight run no publisher affiliate programme at all — Cursor offers referral credits to users rather than commission to publishers, GitHub's Copilot "partner programme" is for building extensions, Cognition published none after Windsurf became Devin Desktop, and Aider, Cline and Zed are open source. The remaining four we could not verify, and we carry no tracking identifier for any of them.

This page previously said "some — not all — of the links are affiliate links." That was inherited boilerplate rather than a checked fact, and it was wrong. It is corrected here because a page about disclosure is the last place that should be approximate.

If that changes, this page changes with it, and the notice on each article is generated from the same data — so it cannot drift out of sync with reality again.

Our Promise

Affiliate relationships never influence our rankings or recommendations, and the structure of this site is the reason we can say that credibly: the tools we most often recommend are the ones that pay us nothing.

We also want to be precise about what our guides are. They are compiled from vendor documentation, pricing pages, changelogs, and publicly reported developer experience — not from claiming we have personally run every tool in production. Where we have tested something ourselves, we say so and say when.
